What is the How I Feel worksheet?

The How I Feel worksheet is a two-page sheet for children who do not yet have words for what they are feeling. Page one offers ten named feelings to circle, from Happy and Proud to Angry and Scared, with space to draw one that is missing.

How to use the How I Feel worksheet

Use this sheet both in session and as homework. Start with How do you feel today?, letting the child circle more than one rather than picking a single answer. Then use How Strong are your Feelings? to rank what they circled from biggest to smallest, which is usually harder than naming them. Your clients can finish the page about what helped and what else might help at home with a parent.

How I Feel Worksheet Download – What’s Included

The download is a two-page printable PDF. Page one holds the ten feelings to circle, a blank space to draw and name another, and a ranking block from Biggest Feeling to Smallest feeling. Page two asks what the child did to feel better, what else they could do, and ends with a plan for next time.
