Marissa has 11 years of experience working in the mental health field, and her work experience includes substance use treatment centers, group homes, an emergency room, and now private practice work. Marissa holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from South University in West Palm Beach, Florida. Marissa holds an LPC license in Missouri and an LCPC license in Kansas. Marissa has been a freelance writer for two years and is passionate about social justice and educating others on improving their mental health and relationships. When she’s not writing or providing therapy, Marissa enjoys spending time with her partner and loved ones, snuggling her animals, watching football, and reading.
